Steel Art Design – with Stallholder in Festive Attire: Bracknell, Berkshire, Christmas 2001

Based on exactly the same concept as the traditional Weihnachtsmarkten found throughout Germany – and latterly established in several other countries of the world including The United States and Japan – our aim is to faithfully recreate and replicate the typically magical Christmas Market atmosphere which can still be found today in German cities such as Cologne and Aachen. By introducing this enormously popular attraction into UK Shopping Malls and High Streets we are not only seeking to enhance the all-important – even vital – Christmas Shopping Experience, but are also aiming to provide borough councils and town centre managements with an exciting and well-proven means of improving local retail sales

Quality of Goods and Products on sale

All items for sale are genuine, hand-crafted goods which have been individually-produced to an admirably high standard by their German stall-holder owners. There is no intention of offering goods for sale which have been mass or factory produced. We are pleased to advise that at least one of our stall-holders is currently supplying to Harrods Department Store in Knightsbridge, London

Product Range

Consisting of a mixture of hand-crafted, high-quality goods and traditional German Christmas Gifts and Foodstuffs, would you please note as follows an abridged selection of the products/stalls which form the basis of our German Christmas Markets

  • Glass Objets d’Art & Sculptures (blown by on-site Glassblower)

Case-Study, Christmas 2001

At the request of property company The Bracknell Regeneration Trust, we presented our first Weihnachtsmarkt during the period immediately prior to Christmas 2001 in the Berkshire town of Bracknell. Situated in the open-air area of the Central Shopping Precinct, the market consisted of 13 identically-decorated, wooden German Christmas Market Stalls which were manned by owner-operated German nationals. In an official Opening Ceremony, The Christmas Market was declared “open for business” by the Mayor of Bracknell on Saturday 30 November and operated every day ( including Sundays ) between the hours of 9.3oam – 6.oopm for a period of 3½ weeks until its closure on the 23 December
